  Principle of arc-ion plating  
     
  An airtight vacuum container is put in the high vacuum state. The plasma state is formed by generating arc from the arc-source by using contact electrodes. In this plasma state, the metal ion runs against the arc-source target (Ti), emitted metal particles react to injected N2 gas and run against the stainless plate in the opposite side, at this moment, a thin coat is formed.

  > HARDNESS OF COATING (VICKERS HARDNESS)  
     
  10 times stronger than normal stainless steel.  
     
  > ADHESIVE STRENGTH  
     
  Cut the surface of a titanium-coated product an interval of 2mm. Test using cellophane adhesive tape proved that there was no damage of coating.  
     
  > HARDNESS TEST  
     
  There was no damage or change of color to the test materials dropped one kilogram steel ball at the height of 50 cm to the product.

  > RESISTANCE TO SCRATCH  
     
  Measure a load when it starts to make a scratch on the surface of the test materials scratching it at the speed of 150mm/a minute. Test shows that Arc Source coating is 3 times stronger than chemical coating in Resistance to scratch.

  > DURABILITY OF ABRASION  
     
  Rotation abrasion test rubbing the surface of the test materials 200 times applying pressure of 500g on eraser. There was no peel separation in arc source plating while chemical plating had peel separation.  
     
  > RESISTANCE TO HUMIDITY  
     
  There was no discoloration of the product even after 500 hour exposure to the temperature of 50º, humidity 98%.  
     
  > RESISTANCE TO THE PERSPIRATION  
     
  There was no change of the surface after 7times repetition of 8 hour immersion in artificial perspiration (PH 4.5, JS LO848) and 16 hour drying in air.

  Appearances on the surface after 48 hour immersion in pollutant are as following table. Chlorine detergent little discoloration and Wool Dye change the gold color into white.

Slight pollution, Stain, Dust, Salt particle, Iron content sticking If the status of pollution is light, use a dry cloth. If the dust
doesn’t go off easily, use neutral detergent
(dilute with 30-40 times of water) or liquid soap-rub it with
a sponge or cloth and wash up with warm water

If neutral detergent doesn’t work, rub it lightly with stainless cleaner and toothpaste. Caution: Rubbing it too strong can cause damage to its coating. Test on a small portion first & do the cleaning on entire product. Finish up the cleaning with washing up with warm water. Caution: Do not use hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, sulphuric acid and soda
Finger print ,Oil stain Wash up with warm water. Then use neutral detergent(dilute with 30-40 times hot water) or liquid soap-rub it with a sponge or cloth and wash up with warm water. If the satin is still not removed, use alcohol, acetone and water repeatedly.
